UNSTILL LIFE
'… And life would never be the same again, but the world did not care. Time did not pause; not even for a moment.'
This series subverts the notion of the 'still life' genre in photography and explores ideas of impermanence, transitional beauty and the relentlessness of time. By constructing scenes in front of the camera and then letting go, the process embarks upon continuous exposures that can be up to 3 weeks duration, giving up control of the photograph to both time and nature's cycle of light and darkness.
