Existence? David's work embraces the magnitude and phenomena of existence in all it's complexities and opposing simplicities. His work is a product of continual examination, reconstruction and reflection upon nature and the nature of existence diversifying between the internalising and externalising perspectives, proposing a wholly encompassed view point with a dynamic innovative sense of focus. His approach is steeped in tradition – yet extremely dynamic in its focus to embrace the latest thought. Primarily David chooses the tradition of painting with oil for all it's embedded historical value and physical bodily qualities – whilst open to all manner of tools and techniques to best apply his expression. His progressions harness the technique and language of expression encompassing 21st century fine art practice. Foremost, David's work motivates the viewer into a visual realm where academic construction; given open opportunity, will impose sensual intrigue to a contrasting flux of subtlety and dramatisation in relation to existence. His work is wholly captivating by means of it's tactility to presence whilst engaging provocation, question and realisation to the nature of existence and our relative position within the boundaries of existence. David's dynamic balance of conceptualisation and technical exploration drives his work forward to evermore exciting work.
