Ian Chamberlain
Statement
Fruit update
In this series, Ian expresses his amusement and frustration with aspects of marketing, advertising, journalism, consumerism and science. He makes his point with characteristic humour and a strong aesthetic.
The ‘Living in the clouds’ series forms a personal allegory for the artist’s life in the
Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, Austrtalia. He uses a wide range of media including photography, sandstone, silver, gold leaf, copper, acrylic, and wood.
