TV is Enough For this body of work I wanted to explore the effect that television has on different people, looking into the way that we use it to escape from everyday life and the influence and power it can hold over us. I created the final images using digital manipulation as I wanted to demonstrate a blur between reality and fiction. I believe that the dominance of television media in Western society has taken focus away from other outlets such as literature and the arts. This generation has grown up with a blinkered view of the world today as they struggle to form their own opinions when bombarded with televised messages twenty-four hours a day. (George Gerbner.)
