Artist Statement
I would define my work as abstract expressionist. My interest lies in movement, colour, texture, and the interaction of these dynamics. The content often relates to landscape and environment, and also reflects my passions of walking, travel and music. Painting for me is a constant challenge, which is also difficult and frustrating, but above all there is an obsession with paint, and a need to make the work.
Usually I work on several paintings at one time, and make work in series, and in both large and small formats.
