Brian Hodgson - Reflecting in Light

Brian Hodgson Studied Painting with Photography at Maidstone College of Art and these twin disciplines have informed his work since graduating in 1978 with 1st Class Honours.

As Head of Art at a school in Africa, Brian re - evaluated his life's work and when he returned to England launched his new series of work in an exhibition at the Light Gallery in London in Novemeber 2006. This collection of Contemporary Oil paintings and prints at first glance may appear to be vivd Photograph's craft. But, the skillful precision of the images suffused with translucent light and casting bold shawdows, demonstrates the mastery of the painter.

Previously, Brian Hodgson was a Silver award winner of the prestigious Stowells Art Price and his work has been exhibited at the London Institute of Education, Morley College London, Rye Art Gallery and Ashford Library.
