My mixed-media paintings investigate the concepts surrounding
the nature of human perception by reflecting fleeting, ephemeral,
barely-noticed glimpses of everyday life; glimpses which we all
experience daily and which, despite their momentary, are laden
with meaning. Whilst peering into the reflective, multi-layered
surface of my paintings, I would like the viewer to become aware
of the act of looking and consequently to consider both the
complexity and the mystery which encompasses our capacity
to perceive.
