Statement

Jed is an Artist specialising in portraiture, working in a variety of mediums to create bespoke and individual compositions. He completed his degree in Fine Art at Bristol UWE in 2005. During his degree he worked on large scale portrait painting using mediums including oils, acrylics, marker pens and aerosol paint.

"My paintings are usually of images that I find interesting as a composition, and come from a variety of sources. They often have a quality similar to glossy photo imagery from magazines. I have been influenced by both fashion photography and American photo realist painters."

Jed has a natural talent for capturing the essence of the person he is painting. He adds his unique style, and use of bold and often vivid colours to create often memorable pieces.

His work has been exhibited in the RWA, Spike Island in Bristol, Gallery 370 and in North Somerset Arts Week. He has also worked on project alongside community Artist Julie Kingcott. These include an Educational mural for the safety Zone in Weston - Super - Mare.

Commissions are always considered.
