Natasha Kahn was born 1973 in London

My work questions the space between abstraction and realism. The subject matter, sometimes the most mundane scene, is pared down to all but the bare essentials. I seek out colour and form, be it an urban cul-de-sac or a rural farmhouse, it’s the banal that attracts me. Incidental details, such as road markings or telephone wires, serve as jolts of reality in otherwise solemn and nondescript landscapes.
